Dana's Tribe: 3 breeds of dog in breeding

Passionate, but reasonable and above all concerned about giving maximum attention to each of our dogs, we have chosen to breed these 3 breeds (Australian Shepherds, Cavaliers King Charles & Altdeutsche Schäferdunde - old long-haired German Shepherds) by limiting the number of breeding stock. Natural and reasoned breeding, completed by a first education of the puppy, to propose dogs easy to educate.

How do we raise our dogs?

Our dogs thrive around the house in total freedom on a dedicated area of 2.5 ha consisting of meadow, a pond, woods and many shelters. They are sociable with people and other dogs and share their environment with sheep, cows and horses.

Permanently present on the farm, we practice various activities with them: cani-cross, cani-vtt, cani-trottinette, cavage, obedience...

We make sure that all our breeding dogs have obtained a minimum of working certificates: CSAU, Brevet d'obéissance, CANT .... Because we only select educated, sociable and balanced dogs.

All births take place at home where the puppies spend 3 weeks before going to their nursery next to our house. The puppies then evolve rapidly within our pack where they learn communication and hierarchy. They grow up in an environment enriched with stimuli in order to acquire a better resistance to stress and a better emotional balance.

Before joining their new families, our puppies will have known, car trips, the city, handling by people outside the Tribe, children, dogs other than ours, cows, horses ...

We follow up on our puppies and offer our advice and experience to new owners if they need it, both on the behaviour and the education of the puppies born with us.

Several times a year, we organize a day of meeting and education with the dogs born at Dana's Tribe, which allows us to exchange, share and spend a good day.

Australian Shepherds

History / temperament: A shepherd dog of Basque origin, working in Australia, it was noticed and imported by the Americans from the 19th century. It is in the USA that the breed was developed for its qualities in the herd. This versatile and docile dog adapts easily to all canine activities. Its devoted and affectionate character also makes it an excellent family dog.
A medium-sized, agile and well-built dog:

Male: 51 to 58 cm (+/- 1 cm)
Female: 46 to 53 cm (+/-1 cm)
4 different colours of dresses: Black or Tricolour Red / Blue or Blackbird Red.
Long hair, long or short tail.

Texas is a girl from our Page. A beautiful red tricolor bitch, very promising, both by her morphology and her behavior. She is calm, sweet, and very affectionate. Texas is the great granddaughter of our 1st couple of B. Aus. Max and Habby.

Altdeutsche Schäferhunde - Old German Shepherds with straight back and long hair

History / temperament : Historically the Altdeutscher Schäferhund is a German Shepherd Dog. From 1949 onwards in East Germany, the breed was drastically selected to obtain powerful, courageous, intelligent and loyal dogs.
From this selection was born the DDR Shepherd Dog (German Border Guard Dog between East and West Berlin). After the fall of the Wall, East Germany made a selection based on their health and character.
Many colours of coat are accepted, the most important criteria being a straight back, long, full hair and a balanced character (neither aggressive nor timid).

The A.S. are non-LOF

A dog whose size standard is between :

62 and 68 cm for males (+/- 1 cm)
55 and 62 cm for females (+/- 1 cm).

Wonderful little fawn female from our breeding. Daughter of our Nouchka (New Laïka Comme Chiens et Loups) and Nanouk (Joker Brandon Avalon of Empire), Peanuts is an adorable and very confident dog who makes us laugh and dazzles us every day.

Son of Moon (from La Légende du Loup noir) and Madiba (Mica from La Légende du Loup noir), Oni lives with his family near the Tribe with our friends Jessica and Greg - Perfectly socialized, Oni has participated assiduously in the puppy school and his master continues his education on a regular basis. King Charles Cavaliers

History / temperament : The Cavalier King Charles is an English Toy Spaniel.
The only dog tolerated at the court of Henry VIII of England in the 16th century to keep the ladies company, it was recognised by the Kennel Club in 1928.
A gentle, active, graceful and cheerful dog, the Cavalier King Charles is not afraid of anything and has no tendency to be aggressive.
It is a wonderful companion.
The CKC should be graceful, well proportioned, soft-spoken and weigh between 5.4 kg and 8.2 kg.

Dana's Tribe..... A must to discover. Laurent (the owner, always calm and understanding with the dogs (but also with the owners...). I always arrived late !!!!...knows how to put the dogs at ease. He is able to probe the animal very quickly, to guess its fears but also its preferences, which makes the work easier. Our four-legged friends work in good conditions, even the laziest or most fearful (like mine). I highly recommend this place and thank Laurent for his beautiful work...
